If you are 18 years and over and you are looking for a place and or opportunity to make an impact in the community for the cause you care about, then join the Gaines Day Celebration.
We are looking for Volunteers for set-up, tear-down and also to help facilitate activities during the Gaines Day Event.
GAINES DAY Volunteer positions:
10 Brand Ambassadors/Greeters/Sign Waivers
20 door hangers (Go door to door to hand out brochures) Its important that every household in the Crest receive a brochure and or at least know about the Gaines Day Event)
10 Set up Crew (If you like to help and get stuff done, but don't like dealing with crowds, this is your position. To set up stage, tables and chairs and decor around the park and the community)
5 Trash and Recycle crew and to make sure the place is clean including bathroom checks every half hour throughout the event.
5 Bussers and Clean Up Crew (You get to dance around and make sure no trash is left behind)
10 Food and Beverage ( Food tent servers, food prep, pre-prep food)
10 Wherever I'm Needed (Because people sign up and don't show up.)
10 Breakdown crew ( To break down tables and chairs and decor around the park and the community)

The Gaines Day Celebration is a community event held in the third week of August to raise community awareness, combat senseless violence and to unite urban communities. This year the event will be held Saturday August 15, 2020 at the CREST RANCH PARK in Vallejo, Ca 1pm-4pm

Mending Wings is doing big things but we can't do it alone. We are seeking dedicated, self-motivated, reliable and skilled volunteers to help us grow and develop as an organization.

Mending Wings Inc has several volunteer groups that meets once per month and go out and volunteer at different nonprofits organizations. The volunteerism can last from 4-6 hours normally on Saturdays. The Gaines Day group of volunteers need your help in spreading the word and planning, managing and executing.
